Here They Come....

.... back again.
Second day of seeing this band of turkeys.

Only this time, closer to our house.
They are good-sized birds for being wild ones.
These turkeys, huge as they are, can fly up into the trees and roost at night. We have come upon them before in the woods, and they make a loud sound flying away.
Country life is grand.
PS. Right now SW Kentucky is getting a white-out :)

Be careful. Surprised one of those turkeys hasn't made its way to your freezer or oven!!!!

Wait til early summer when they bring their young along. The neighbor has over 60 in his yard. They also can total a car, as it happened to our friends daughter. Scared the begeebees out of her. We haven't seen them for awhile, so I think the neighbor has them all, but that's OK.
By the way, you are welcome to keep the snow. We have had enough to last for one year.

They liked having their picture shared around the world! Turkeys can be very vain.

Wow, that's a lot of turkeys! We only ended up with about an inch and a half of the white stuff.

You've got a nice bunch of visitors there. And my bet is that SW Kentucky is beautiful during whiteouts.
