Spoiled Chicks!

There they go! .... they have discovered they can squeeze through the holes in the fence.

My six little hatchlings are now brave enough to leave their mother's side.

The older ones, I am sure, enticed the younger ones to follow them! ( you know how kids do........ "follow us, we know the way!")

Leader of the pack (you can tell by the "hair-do")

Oh yes, into the rhubarb patch ( "lots of worms and bugs in here ya'll!")and on they go, round and round the hen-house, and further and further out. Until....

There they go, down by the woods, not thinking about the "Big Bad Coyote"!

Way down by the tall fennel .......

well, someone had sense enough to call it quits and head home ....

"Lets see.... I think this is how we get back in....."

Ah, home safe and sound, even though a scolding from Mom and Aunt Henrietta was forth-coming. ........ but they will go again tomorrow. The grass is certainly greener on the other side of the fence!

Way too cute. I love how you identify with them. (First person telling.) And by the way, those are some cute chicks!

I hope they grow fast so they can't get out anymore...they have a way of disappearing you know...as in permanetly! I would love to be able to let mine range but too many hawks, owls, coyotes and raccoons around here!!! I can only imagine what is lurking in those woods of yours...
