Plenty easy ; just knit 4 purl 4 until its the length you need.
Then I saw these amazing dishcloths, and just had to try my hand at that. Natural color cotton yarn with red stripes, done in a waffle-weave pattern. (I varied the designs)....
and with blue stripes.....
They were fun to do, good practise, and functional as well.
I am now started on another knitting project, which I will post later.
I like knitting in the evenings, when it is too dark to paint (I like good daylight to do my oil painting) and when I am too tried to do anything else. It keeps my hands busy while Hubby is watching TV and eating ice cream :0

My sil make those dishcloths, it is her way of using up here odd and ends of yarn.

Lovely. I've got to get back to my prayer shawl making. With our concern over Suzette I haven't picked mine up in weeks. Plus our son being here from California for 8 days.

Love your shawl Sunny, and those dish cloths my would I love to be able to make them. I had some given to me and they are wonderful. I haven't knitted in 25 years, after seeing these tow projects, i need to get back. Thanks for sharing.
